What’s up, world? I am BLove, an independent, upcoming artist. From the small town of Canton, MS, we don’t have a lot of opportunities, so we make them, and I’m proud to represent my hometown! Since I didn’t have a lot growing up, I took a passion for literature and English that later inspired me to write music. My passion is to become the greatest ghostwriter and artist known to man. I strive for greatness to pave the way for other independent artists locally and globally. Exit 119, stand up!
On July 20, 2000, greatness entered the world when I was born. As a child, I was always quiet and into books. Literature has always been my favorite subject. As I grew older, sports became a part of my middle school and high school routine for a while, but I never lost interest in books. Taking AP English expanded my vocabulary and inspired me to write music.
Life never came easy for me. I wasn’t poor, but I didn’t grow up with the best. Growing up in a broken home, my mother was always my provider. That’s my superhero because I saw her stop or complain while providing for my two sisters and me. I started working at the age of 16 to help provide. I couldn’t see her do it alone anymore. At the time, I thought money was more important than an education, so I didn’t go to college and went straight to a warehouse. I’ve basically been on my own since I graduated high school. Despite my small hometown with few opportunities, I feel there is no place like home!
On September 15, 2020, I went to my first studio session. I had no idea what was going on. I didn’t even know the definition of an adlib! From that day forward, I promised to stick to one thing and focus on my craft until I perfected it. I never said I lost focus, though. I procrastinated, lost jobs, and I took multiple losses to get where I am today. I work hard, grind consistently, and create my own lane. Without God, I don’t know where I’d be. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!
The saying “Life is what you make of it” is false. We have a destiny to fulfill, but it takes time, knowledge, and skills to find our purpose. I know that I was put here to help others. My music is what keeps me going, and soon I’ll be able to change the world and the way that I live. When I’m laid to rest, I want millions of people across the globe to say “Well done BLove”.
